A marketplace for verifiable decentralized storage.

Storage providers put up collateral and are paid in FIL to store clients' data, proving they still hold it with Proof-of-Replication and Proof-of-Spacetime. Built alongside IPFS (data is addressed by CID), with the Filecoin Virtual Machine for smart contracts.

How do Filecoin storage deals and proofs work?

Providers seal data into sectors, prove it once with PoRep and then daily with WindowPoSt, backed by slashable FIL collateral. Proofs cover storage, not retrieval; use an onramp unless you have large data and DataCap.
