The big-block fork of Bitcoin, built for payments.

Split from Bitcoin in August 2017 over how to scale: instead of SegWit, it raised the block size limit so more transactions fit on-chain at low fees. Keeps Bitcoin's proof of work and 21 million supply, and adds CashAddr addresses and native CashTokens.

Why did Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin, and how is it different today?

BCH forked in August 2017 to scale with bigger blocks instead of SegWit. Today it has a 32 MB adaptive limit, native CashTokens, CashAddr addresses, no SegWit or RBF, low fees and far less hashrate than BTC.
