Blockchain data for Polygon is now available in the Google Cloud Marketplace, hosted by Google Cloud as a financial services public dataset.
Polygon is an easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. This integration with Google BigQuery enables developers to analyze on-chain data on Polygon (formerly called Matic) in a more simple way.
Polygon said that it aims to serve as Ethereum’s Internet of Blockchains by bringing massive scale to Ethereum via Polygon SDK and supporting stand-alone chains and secured chains. And this dataset is part of a larger initiative to make cryptocurrency data available in Google BigQuery via the Google Cloud Public Datasets program. The platform is hosting a number of real-time cryptocurrency datasets, with plans to expand offerings to include additionally distributed ledgers.
Users can reach these datasets by searching for “crypto” in the GCP Marketplace. Google has also designed a unified schema that enables all Bitcoin-like datasets to share queries.
Hosted in Google BigQuery, this dataset is included in BigQuery’s 1TB/mo of free tier processing. In other words, each user will receive 1TB of free BigQuery processing every month, which can be used to run queries on this public dataset.
Google BigQuery enables users to query on-chain data in a simple, organized manner on the cloud using standard SQL syntax. It serves as a massive indexer that allows users to perform powerful data analysis, and to perform the same or similar queries on multiple blockchains at once and compare them, or track the cross-chain activity on interoperable tokens.
