In the recent past, EOSIO Dawn 4.0 was released and now, a pre-release of the EOSIO is available for the developers. The EOSIO has Dawn 4.0 RAM with Objective CPU. Some community members expressed concern that the EOSIO has cheap RAM with expandable memory. Only those who really need RAM or will require in future RAM supply when bidding will buy the initial RAM.
The news also states that the CPU instructions were used by a transaction in a deterministic manner. To maintain consensus over usage, the producer will report the number of microseconds they billed to the transactions.
Following are some silent features of the Objective CPU including;
- The Objective CPU can measures the slowdown performance by introducing extra bookkeeping.
- The Objective CPU also capable of measuring introduced attack and denial of service vectors anytime there is an inconsistency between the real cost of an action and its objective approximation.
- The Objective CPU is difficult to upgrade, maintain, and introduce optimizations.
There are several other ways that help block producers in mitigating the potential for network partitions including;
- Through maintaining multiple connections.
- By repairing or route around the damage.
